Anti Sweden Jeans launching Fashion Week in Hell

The Norwegian jeans brand Anti Sweden Jeans is known for its rebellious identity and close relation to the black metal scene. As a protest against the established fashion industry, Anti Sweden will stage their own fashion week in Hell – in the county of Nord-Trøndelag in Norway. Anti Sweden Jeans and Fashion Week in Hell has already caught the attention of Mötley Crew, Steven Tyler and The Killers. Calico Cooper, controversial daughter of Alice Cooper, will now literally be travelling to Hell on earth to front the new Black Metal clothing line.

Rock legends are preparing for one hell of a fashion riot:

– We're tired of Swedish brands taking complete control of the Norwegian market. We're tired of fashion snobbery and toothless arenas for the exposure of Norwegian design. Now we want to launch our new collection on our own terms, says Kjetil Wold, founder of Anti Sweden Jeans. People fascinated by the dark and occult have for many years been drawn to Hell in Trøndelag. On Thursday 3 March the place will really be hell on earth when Anti Sweden launches "Fashion Week In Hell" to present their unique new Textile  Garment collection.

Calico Cooper who is central in her legendary father, Alice Coopers, show of sex, flames and rock and roll, is going to Hell in Norway to front Anti Sweden Jeans collection. Calico Cooper is educated as a ballet dancer, but is most famous as a controversial performance artist and model. The LA-based rock daughter is travelling to Hell in Norway to do what she does best – burn down the show.

AMFII to host event & fashion show to promote viscose

India is the second largest producer of viscose filament yarn (VFY) in the world. To promote consumption and to propagate the inherent qualities of viscose yarn, the Association of Man-Made Fibre Industry in India (AMFII) is organizing an event - ‘Viscose Connect 2011’ in Surat on February 25, 2010. The day long activities will conclude with a fashion show in the evening.

The event will begin with a welcome address from Mr OR Chitlange, Vice President – AMFII, who will highlight the need for such value chain connect seminars, especially since the Indian Technical textile industry for the most part, lies in the unorganized sector.

The trader’s perspective will be provided by Mr Devkishen Manghani, President of Federation of Surat Textile Traders Association (FOSTTA). This will be followed by a designer’s view from Ms Archana Kochhar who will speak on trends and developments followed by Ms Shaina NC. Mr Vijesh Thakkar, Director – Vidilon Exports will speak on behalf of exporters. Ms Rajeshree Netalkar from Dystar India will present her views on colour solutions.

The fashion show will be presented by well known Indian fashion designers which include; Archana Kochhar, Shaina NC, Prashant & Sudha and Amy Billimoria.

Viscose is a viscous organic liquid used to make rayon and cellophane. Viscose is becoming synonymous with rayon, a soft material commonly used in sarees, salwar suits, wedding gowns, scarves, embroidery, shirts, innerwear etc..

The R&D which went into discovery of the viscose fibre is the result of efforts to create a cheaper substitute for the expensive silk fibre. It was first manufactured as celluosic fibre. Invented in 1884 in France, it was first commercialized in 1910 by US based - Avtex Fibres Inc.

Unlike most man-made fibres, rayon is not synthetic. It is made from wood pulp, a cellulosic based raw material which is naturally-occurring, bio-degradable and is a renewable resource. It is eco-friendly & similar to those of natural cellulosic fibres, such as cotton or linen, than those of other man-made fibres such as nylon or polyester.

‘A Beautiful Mind’ says something to spring summer

The DOZAKH’s collection is conceptualized under the unique theme “A Beautiful Mind”. If the human mind is strong enough to create reality, why can’t reality be entirely beautiful? Masters of their craft, who chose to soar beyond the average mind, succumbed to murderous webs spun by their own psyches. Freedom and responsibility are considered inseparable and yet one loses out to the other in a mere illusion of the mind.

The silhouette integrates the romanticism of the pre-Raphaelite period where art was at its finest, but the glory was short lived. Intricately designed free flowing chiffons are broken by complex rushing, gathering and pin tucks. Ombre shades give way to strong shadow work hiding beneath the wistful folds of sheer fabric. Temperamental reds and grey’s, quixotic off-whites, soft pale pinks, blood reds and shades of navy comes together in an effort to lay an extensive framework of a beautiful mind.

“DOZAKH” finds way to bring incomprehensible emotions like love, lust and obsession to the free spirited soul through the art form of fashion. Known for the workmanship and services, the flagship store in Hauz Khas Village came into existence in 2006. The label came about with Isha’s panache and originality, Kartikeya’s intuitive, rebellious and unique sense of style. Their inclination towards dark & revolutionary themes led to the conception of their label.

Kim Kardashian's Fashion Emergency: Curves Wouldn't Fit in Grammy Dress

(CBS) In this corner - a Kaufman Franco gown. In that corner - Kim Kardashian's butt. It's a battle royale for the ages!

On Sunday night at the Grammys red carpet, the reality star told Ryan Seacrest that she had the "biggest fashion emergency."

Speaking of her shimmering gold dress, she said, "I took it to another tailor and they tailored it to where my whole butt wouldn't fit in it... I was freaking out and said that if I didn't have a dress, I wouldn't go."

Well, she went. So somehow the 30-year-old reality star managed to shoe horn herself into it. Or perhaps she had some help. Kim says the fashion house that made the dress came to her rescue and "redid the whole thing," according to US magazines.

It's a lucky thing for Kardashian. After getting kicked off the stage by Prince last week, she sure didn't need her dress to reject her also.
